Singing karaoke songs for the first time – Isabella’s goosebump moment

(text video)

Hello, I am Isabella, and I am from the Bahamas. My goosebump moment is a moment that I remember when I sang again, for the first time after the pandemic. It was very amusing. Thrilling in a positive way, and it made my hair spike. Because I hadn’t sung in a long time and suddenly, I was a little bit drunk at this bar where there was karaoke. So, my friend and I got very excited about singing again. And when I sang again, I noticed the people and the atmosphere that I created and that I didn’t plan, it was incredible, people supported me, and everybody was so happy. It was an amazing moment that I would love to repeat again. Thank you.

Karaoke, an activity to share with friends and family

When you go to karaoke, you are not only going to have a good time, but to be the star of the night. Karaoke is one of the best ways to have fun and let go of stress, whether at home or when we get out, it is a special activity to share friendship and emotions, even your own stories.

In karaoke you can listen to people who know how to sing and people who don’t yet. When you hear someone who can sing you pay attention to them, you admire them and hope to sing like them one day soon. If you sing well at karaoke, you can expect applause and a somewhat unforgettable experience that will leave you with goosebumps.

Tips for singing karaoke for the first time

Karaoke is best done with friends in an establishment that offers private rooms, especially if you’ve never done it before or if you’ve only encouraged your friends before. The atmosphere is less stressful because the only people who will be listening are friends, and the smaller rooms encourage group singing.

In these cases, it can happen that you have a horrible performance, but your friends encourage you and help you when you start to look uncomfortable. The objective of karaoke in any case is to have fun, not to see who the best singer is.

If there are no places with rooms for small groups to sing karaoke in your area, you may still have options. Keep an eye on scheduled events at local bars and try to go to smaller places that have karaoke nights during the week.

Another recommendation is that, unless you’re a karaoke veteran, let someone else start things off. You’ll feel a little more comfortable after watching someone else go and not being thrown at with tomatoes. Plus, you’ll have time to have a drink or two and relax.

However, be sure to pick your song early. Going first can be scary, but it can be even scarier at the end. You don’t want to give yourself too much time to think. Your nerves will get the better of you, you’ll be stuck searching through karaoke songbooks for hours looking for the perfect song, and before you know it, the night will be over.
