Lana: my goosebump moment is a song called “Molitva” by the Serbian singer Marija Serifovic. It gives me goosebumps because the spot for that song was published a year ago during the quarantine and it shows the empty streets of Belgrade, and the band singing, helping other people, bringing them food, in masks.

Naip: my goosebump moment was in 2018 when I went to a concert of Nokaut with a bunch of friends. I felt very good. The music and lyrics were great. I didn’t know the artist until then, but it felt very emotional.

Gloria: my goosebump moment is a song called “Lingus” by Snarky Puppy from their album “We like it here”. It has a 4 minute solo and that solo is so special to me because it depicts almost everything that life is. It is passionate and exciting. It is a story of life summarised in 4 minutes.

Nadia: my goosebump moment is the song “She used to be mine” by Sarah Bareilles. That’s honestly one of the most relatable songs, especially if you are a mom and you went trough a lot of struggle when you had your baby and in life itself. The first time I’ve heard it, it did not only give me Goosebumps, but also it made me cry to no end.

Medjadi: my goosebump moment is the song “Sweater Weather” by the Neighbourhood. It’s like a classical song from the 90s and relaxes you. I believe songs are for broken souls so every time I am upset or feel annoyed, I play it and everything changes like magic.

Rais: my goosebump moment was when I heard the song “Wahran” by Randall. It’s about an Algerian city and I felt instant Goosebumps because it depicts the cultural and historic culture of Algerian music in it. It also has electronic dance vibes.

Irene: my goosebump moment is a song called “Jack and Diane” I really, really like it. It has the lyric, “Oh yeah, well life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone”, and that’s when I got my GoosebumpMoment because that’s exactly how life works!

Fred: my goosebump moment is the Emicida show “10 years of Triumph”. I feel so connected with it and it’s emotional for me because I’ve been following him for 10 years and we can see the evolution. It was as if I was there. If you are black, you feel more connected with it because he empowers us with his lyrics and his songs.

Pedro: my goosebump moment is the music from Linkin Park, especially the song “Breaking the habit” because it makes me remember the my family and my friends during my childhood. It brings joy to my life and brings families together.

Charmaine: my goosebump moment is the song ”Paubaya” by Moira dela Torre. It’s about a relationship that ends because the girl loves another man. ”Paubaya” literally means ”letting go”. The song makes me so emotional, because it’s true that if you truly love a person, you have to set him free, even if it hurts.

Ghada: my goosebump moment was when I watched Daly Gana sing on The X Factor. At first he was stuttering a lot, but when he started singing, he left everyone speechless. He sang so fluently, it was beautiful. He is such a big source of inspiration and perseverance to everyone.

Alejandra: my goosebump moment was during the Oscars in 2018 when “This is me” from “The Greatest Showman” was nominated for best song. This song has a beautiful message: It’s about empowering yourself, overcoming prejudice and defending who you are.

Gabriela: my goosebump moment is the song “El Antigal” by Argentinian singer Abel Pintos. The music video takes place in a beautiful place in the north of Argentina. The song starts off a cappella, after which it progresses with synthesizers and at the end it explodes. It is very emotional and raw and the performance is really mind-blowing. The song gives me Goosebumps every time!

Cherry: my goosebump moment is Sasha Sloan singing “Older”. Her voice is so angelic and the song lyrics are so relatable to how I feel. The song talks about her younger self not understanding why her parents argued or the meaning of love, but when she got older, she understood love is not as easy. As I grew up, I understood that when you argue with your loved one, it doesn’t mean you hate them, it is just how life goes.

Manohisoa: my goosebump moment was when I heard Taylor Swift’s album “Folklore”. 2020 was a rough year for a lot of us, and I felt like Taylor Swift’s album just made it a lot better. Every song in the album was just so full of emotion, the production was just beautiful, the lyrics of the album were raw, and Taylor Swift’s vocals were amazing. I feel like listening to the album definitely made my 2020 a lot better.

Von: my goosebump moment is the song “Panalo” by EZ Mil. “Panalo” means “win”. Filipinos have started to see being Filipino as a negative due to political and social conflicts. The message of the song is to be proud of who you are and where you came from. That doesn’t just resonate with us Filipinos, but with everyone in the world.

Miftahunnazah: my goosebump moment is the music video “Lathi” by Weird Genius feat. Sara Fajira from 2020. This video is so stunning. It went viral all around Indonesia and some other countries. The video shows Indonesian culture with mixes of the modern world and speaks about a toxic relationship. It definitely brings goosebumps to people from the younger generation like me.

Juan: my goosebump moment is a song called “Act a Fool”, in the Anbroski remix. It really gives me goosebumps because it has some very crazy rhythms that make you feel very strong. It gives you that encouragement you need and it has some highs that give me the motivation to train and to exercise and be calm at home.
